Hayley has a background in “big data” having studied an MSc in Health Informatics with Data Science at the University of Leeds in 2022, with an in depth understanding of data flows through clinical systems and the impact of regulatory and legislative requirements, organisational conditions and data collection methods on AI models.

Hayley has worked with NPIC since January 2024, driving projects that include digital pathology application upgrades, HL7 system interface configurations and data migrations from legacy systems.

As AI Deployment Lead, Hayley is responsible for leading projects which aim to use artificial intelligence solutions within clinical applications and workflows across the NPIC digital pathology platform. Hayley works closely with the NPIC Research Team to benefit from cutting edge research into AI safety, efficacy and usability to assess and implement AI solutions safely and deliver efficiency for the NHS.
