Prior to this role, Cat was the Business Development Executive and Technology Innovation Officer on the Grow MedTech programme for Leeds Beckett University, where she worked closely with academics, companies, and clinicians to de-risk their medical technology innovations towards commercialisation.

Cat received an integrated PhD and MSc from the University of Leeds with research focused on developing hydrogels to direct spinal cord stem cell behaviour towards repair.
