About the Patient and Public Advisory Group

The NPIC Patient and Public Advisory Group (PPAG) has been active since January 2020.

We are a group of 18 active members, recruited from different sectors, and representative of diverse communities across West Yorkshire and beyond. The aim of the group is to bring a wealth of experience and opinion to an open forum in which we can check assumptions about NPIC projects or products.

We aim to effectively and authentically involve patients and publics throughout the development and delivery of NPIC projects so that our work continues to meet the needs of the people of West Yorkshire and beyond. PPAG tasks could be anything from making recommendations on written material, to inputting on the selection of potential programme partners.

This group meets every two months for a two-hour session. For the foreseeable future, this is a virtual meeting, delivered via MS Teams. Generally, sessions include an external speaker, in addition to internal speakers and discussion.

If you would like to get involved in the group please contact leedsth-tr.npic@nhs.net to find out more.
